Google Updates Pixel to Android 17 with Gemini Omni and Advanced AI Features
Google has announced a major update for its Pixel devices, upgrading them to Android 17 through the June Pixel Drop. This new version introduces several advanced AI features, including Gemini Omni for video creation. Additionally, it extends compatibility for Wear OS 7 to relevant Pixel Watch models.

The update also includes an expansion of real-time call translation, now available on the Pixel 10a in its preview version. This tool supports translations in several languages, including English, Spanish, German, Hindi, French, Portuguese, and Italian.

Beyond AI advancements, Google has introduced several new tools for content creators:
- Real-Time Video Reactions: Creators can record selfie reactions while simultaneously capturing screen recordings, eliminating the need for separate edits.
- Automatic Emergency Alerts: If a user falls or experiences other distress signals, the device automatically notifies emergency contacts and services.
- Multitasking Bubbles: Apps can now be turned into floating windows, enhancing multitasking capabilities, specifically designed for foldable devices.
