Train services between Glasgow and Edinburgh have been significantly affected following a tragic incident on Tuesday morning. A person was found deceased on the tracks near Croy railway station.

Emergency services responded quickly to reports of a casualty at approximately 8:15 AM. Despite their efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have indicated that the situation is not being treated as suspicious.
Impact on Train Services
Due to the incident, ScotRail confirmed that the railway line is currently blocked. As a result, train services between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh, as well as those heading towards Stirling via Bishopbriggs, have been cancelled. At this time, there is no estimate for when the line will be reopened.
