West Fest Transforms Dundas Street
The annual Do West Fest kicks off this weekend, marking the unofficial start to Toronto’s summer festivals. Spanning 16 blocks along Dundas Street, this celebration features food, drinks, live performances, and Portuguese programming.
Local businesses will showcase their offerings, complemented by family-friendly activities designed for all ages. The festivities will close Dundas West from Shaw Street to Ossington Avenue, with the street being shut down from Friday at 10 a.m. to Monday at 2 a.m.

Taste of North York
The third annual Taste of North York is set to take place this weekend at Mel Lastman Square. This event celebrates the cultural diversity of the North York community.

Riverside Eats & Beats
Prepare for the 12th annual Riverside Eats and Beats Streetfest along Queen Street East. Over 50 local eateries and shops will offer tastings and sidewalk sales.
Live music, Pride Toronto activations, magic shows, and a beer garden will enhance the experience. This event will take place on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.
Indigenous Celebration 2026
In honor of Indigenous History Month, Evergreen Brick Works is offering a free, family-friendly event on Saturday. This program, in partnership with the Ontario Science Centre, will feature interactive workshops and performances from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Walk with Israel
This Sunday, the Walk with Israel will start at Temple Sinai Congregation on Wilson Avenue and conclude at Sherman Campus. Tens of thousands are expected to participate in both the walk and the accompanying festival.
BACKYARD: Pride Celebration at Stackt Market
Celebrating the first weekend of Pride Month, Stackt Market will host a special event on Saturday. The open-air market will feature over 20 Queer-owned vendors, drag performances, and DJ sets.
Transit Service Adjustments
Due to various planned works, several transit services will be impacted this weekend:
- Line 1 Closure: Subway service between St George and Sheppard West will be replaced by shuttle buses from 12:30 a.m. to end of service on Sunday, June 7.
- Lakeshore East GO Adjustments: No service at Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough, and Danforth GO on June 6 and 7.
- Stouffville GO Adjustment: GO buses will replace train service on June 6 and 7.
- Lakeshore West Service: Trains will operate hourly between West Harbour GO and Union Station.
Road Closures
Several road closures will be in effect over the weekend:
- Do West Fest: Full closure of Dundas Street West from Lansdowne Avenue to Ossington Avenue from June 5, 10 a.m. to June 8, 1 a.m.
- Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women: Numerous closures in the area around Queen’s Park on Saturday, June 6, from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- Overall Impact: Additional closures for Riverside Eats & Beats Streetfest and other events will also be in effect.
