Holland and Zendaya then approached director Destin Daniel Cretton, expressing their concerns regarding their emotional connection to the scene. Cretton responded positively, asking for elaboration on their emotions. He then advised the crew to take a break while they rewrote the scene. The next day, they successfully reshot it, and Holland expressed satisfaction with the outcome, emphasizing its improved resonance in the film.
