Auger-Aliassime, Mboko Advance to Roland-Garros Third Round on TSN Saturday

Félix Auger-Aliassime and Victoria Mboko are the last Canadian players remaining in the singles draws at Roland-Garros. Both athletes are set to compete in the third round on Saturday in Paris.
Auger-Aliassime vs. Nakashima
Auger-Aliassime will face American Brandon Nakashima. The Canadian has an opportunity to contend for his first Grand Slam title following the surprising early exit of world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who lost to Juan Manuel Cerundolo.
The 25-year-old Auger-Aliassime is currently the highest seed left in the top half of the draw. Before aiming for a deeper run, he must first overcome Nakashima, who is ranked 31st globally.
- Head-to-head record: Auger-Aliassime leads 1-0 against Nakashima.
- Previous encounter: Auger-Aliassime defeated Nakashima in straight sets at the Florence quarter-finals in 2022.
In his journey to the third round, Auger-Aliassime defeated Roman Andres Burruchaga with a score of 4-6, 6-0, 7-5, 6-1. This victory followed a challenging five-set match against Daniel Altmaier.
Fans can watch Auger-Aliassime’s match against Nakashima live on TSN1/2, the TSN App, and TSN.ca, at approximately 2:15 p.m. ET/11:15 a.m. PT.
Future Matchups
If Auger-Aliassime wins, his likely fourth-round opponent will be either No. 36 Alejandro Tabilo or Moise Kouame. The potential quarter-final matchup could feature either Francisco Cobolli or Learner Tien, both of whom are among the remaining top seeds.
Mboko Faces Keys
Victoria Mboko will take on Madison Keys, the 2025 Australian Open champion. This match marks their second meeting this season, with Mboko having previously defeated Keys in January at the Adelaide quarter-finals.
- Match details: Mboko vs. Keys on Saturday at approximately 10:30 a.m. ET/7:30 a.m. PT.
- Viewing options: Available live on TSN1, the TSN App, and TSN.ca.
This is Mboko’s second consecutive year reaching the third round at Roland-Garros, following her successful Grand Slam debut last season. Despite admitting to a less-than-optimal performance in her earlier match against Katerina Siniakova, she is eager to build on her recent comeback victory.
A win for the 19-year-old would equal her best Grand Slam showing, having previously advanced to the fourth round at the Australian Open this year. Should she succeed, her next potential opponent will be either Diana Shnaider or Oleksandra Oliynykova, with the possibility of a quarter-final clash against world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
