Gas Prices Drop Below $2 on Avalon Peninsula After Recent Adjustment
Gas prices have experienced a notable decline on the Avalon Peninsula, now falling below $2 per litre. This adjustment occurred on Saturday morning, following an announcement from the Public Utilities Board.
New Gas Price Statistics
- Avalon Peninsula: $1.98 per litre
- La Poile Region: Up to $2.13 per litre
- Labrador Prices: Ranging from $1.48 to $2.08 per litre
Other Fuel Price Reductions
In addition to gas, various fuels saw price reductions:
- Diesel: decreased by 4.7 cents per litre across Newfoundland
- Diesel in Labrador West and Churchill Falls: reduced by 6.4 cents per litre
- Furnace oil: dropped by over 4 cents per litre
- Stove oil in Labrador West and Churchill Falls: decreased by nearly 6.1 cents per litre
Future Price Adjustments
The Public Utilities Board will conduct another price adjustment on Tuesday. This ongoing monitoring is due to market fluctuations, which are largely influenced by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
