NATO Chief Commends Montenegro’s Role in Alliance, Western Balkans Stability

NATO’s Commitment to Montenegro
During his visit, Rutte met with Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and President Jakov Milatović. The discussions focused on transatlantic security, the stability of the Western Balkans, and preparations for the forthcoming NATO Summit in Ankara.
Montenegro’s Contributions to NATO
Rutte emphasized Montenegro’s significance as a NATO ally, highlighting its contributions to the Alliance. Montenegro plays a crucial role by providing troops to NATO’s Forward Land Forces in Latvia and Bulgaria. Additionally, the country contributes personnel to KFOR, the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.
