Bahia Origem Week 2026 Unites Agribusiness, Tourism, Gastronomy, and Chocolat Festival in Salvador

The Bahia Origem Week 2026 is set to take place from May 14 to May 17 at the Salvador Convention Center. This fifth edition will bring together representatives from 13 tourist zones in Bahia. The event will focus on agribusiness, tourism, gastronomy, family farming, and creative economy.

Admission to Bahia Origem Week is free, requiring attendees to donate 1 kg of non-perishable food. This food will support the Bahia Sem Fome campaign. The event will host around 30,000 visitors over its four-day span, featuring around 250 exhibitors and more than 400 brands.
- Types of products showcased include chocolates, wines, coffees, artisan cheeses, cachaças, and spirits.
- Special activities include tastings, sensory experiences, lectures, workshops, fashion shows, cultural presentations, and business rounds.

Notable products include wines from São Francisco Valley and artisanal cheeses from Caminhos do Sertão. The event also emphasizes the connection between tourism and agriculture.
According to Bahia Secretary of Tourism, Maurício Bacelar, this event serves as a showcase for the state’s tourist territories and promotes business generation, especially in family farming.
Culinary Attractions
Among the highlights is the Cozinha Show, dedicated to regional cuisine and cooking demonstrations. Esteemed chefs Carla Marzolla, Gabryel Boaventura, Jônatas Bomfim, and French chef Laurent Rezette are set to appear. Additionally, a Cozinha Kids segment, led by chef Tia Pri, will entertain young audiences.
Business Opportunities and Chocolat Festival
The event will facilitate business rounds, connecting local producers with national and international buyers. Marco Lessa, CEO of MVU Empreendimentos, estimates a financial impact of around R$ 15 million during the 2026 edition.
