Callum Morton Joins The Gulls!

El-Balad proudly announces the signing of Torquay-born striker Callum Morton. He joins Jimmy Ball’s squad for the 2026/27 season, marking his return to his hometown club.
Callum Morton’s Journey
At 26 years old, Callum has a rich football history. He departed Torquay United in 2015 after the club closed its youth department. Subsequently, he continued his development at Yeovil Town.
Morton’s professional career took off when he signed with West Bromwich Albion. During this time, he gained valuable first-team experience through multiple loan spells.

His time at Northampton was especially noteworthy. He scored 8 goals in just 12 games, including a crucial goal in the League 2 Play-Off Final against Exeter City. This performance helped Northampton secure promotion to the EFL’s third tier in 2020.
Moving Forward
Following his success at Northampton, Morton had stints with Fleetwood and Salford City. His reputation grew further in the English Football League (EFL).
He later represented Forest Green Rovers and returned to Northampton before joining Bristol Rovers. Most recently, he spent time with Worthing, who emerged as champions of the National League South.
