Rush co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will embark on a 50th-anniversary tour in 2026. This tour, dubbed the “Fifty Something” tour, is a tribute to their late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. The announcement was made on Monday, marking a significant return for the iconic band.

The Fifty Something tour will begin on June 7, 2026, at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, the venue where Rush last performed with Peart in August 2015. The tour includes 12 dates across seven cities, featuring acclaimed drummer Anika Nilles, known for her unique time signatures, which complement Rush’s style.

Lee expressed that after reflecting on the band’s legacy, both he and Lifeson felt a strong desire to reconnect with their audience. “We’ve missed it,” Lee stated, emphasizing the joy of performing Rush’s music.

Supporting the Fifty Something tour, Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart, Neil’s widow and daughter, respectively, shared their endorsement. They highlighted the tour as a celebration of the band’s impact on fans and a homage to Neil’s legacy.
In a unique approach, Rush plans to include additional musicians to enhance their sound during the tour. Lee mentioned that this strategy would allow for a more enjoyable experience on stage, stating, “We’re a little bit older now.”
