Deputies Arrest Two with U-Haul of Stolen Goods at Penfield Home Depot

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies apprehended two individuals involved in retail theft at a Home Depot in Penfield, New York, on Friday evening. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at the store located on Panorama Trail.

Details of the Arrest

The suspects have been identified as Jemell Bender from Brooklyn and Niketa Godwin from Syracuse. They reportedly arrived at the Home Depot in a U-Haul truck, which contained a significant amount of stolen merchandise.

Stolen Items

The U-Haul was loaded with a variety of stolen goods, including:

  • Ring cameras
  • Thermostats
  • Valve replacements
  • Additional retail items

Charges Filed

Both Bender and Godwin face charges of petit larceny and possession of burglary tools. Furthermore, Godwin was found to be in possession of a magnetic device typically used to disable retail security tags.
