Canadian Golfers Compete at RBC Heritage Open on TSN and TSN+

The RBC Heritage Open is the next event on the PGA Tour calendar following the recent Masters. This year, the tournament takes place at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Four Canadian golfers are set to compete, including Taylor Pendrith, Sudarshan Yellamaraju, Corey Conners, and Nick Taylor.

Canadian Golfers Competing at RBC Heritage Open

Each of the Canadian players brings a distinct profile to the tournament:

  • Taylor Pendrith: At 34 years old, Pendrith aims to revitalize his season after a challenging stretch. He began the year with a top-10 finish at the Sony Open in Hawaii but has since struggled, failing to make the cut in four of his last eight tournaments. His best result in that period was a tie for 34th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
  • Sudarshan Yellamaraju: The 24-year-old from Mississauga has had a noteworthy first season on the PGA Tour. He has made the cut in eight of his nine starts, finishing in the top 25 five times. His standout performance was a tie for fifth at The Players Championship in March, finishing at 9-under.
  • Corey Conners: Hailing from Listowel, Ontario, Conners was disappointed with his performance at the Masters, where he completed the event at 6-over, despite making the cut. His last round featured an eagle on the 14th hole but was marred by two double bogeys and five bogeys.
  • Nick Taylor: From Winnipeg, Taylor finished the Masters at 2-over. He experienced difficulties during his final round, with a stretch of three consecutive bogeys between the 9th and 11th holes.

Tournament Schedule and Viewership

Pendrith will be the first Canadian to tee off in the RBC Heritage Open. He is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by Taylor at 9:00 a.m. ET. Conners and Yellamaraju will begin their rounds later in the afternoon.

Notably, Rory McIlroy, the recent winner of the Masters, will not participate in this tournament. However, other prominent golfers such as Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa, and defending champion Justin Thomas are set to compete.
