South Carolina State University has implemented a campus lockdown following a reported shooting on Saturday night. The situation developed around Hugine Suites, prompting the university to take immediate action.

The university issued a safety alert after multiple reports of gunfire. Campus police are currently investigating the incident. In the alert, SC State instructed residents of Hugine Suites who are outside the complex to move to the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
