Changes in Team Competition for 2026
For the upcoming season, the Iowa boys tennis team format has been revised. A new substate team tennis competition will feature the top 32 teams from each classification. Unlike previous seasons, where all teams entered directly into the state playoffs, this new structure includes eight substates, each accommodating up to four teams.
Each substate will have a designated host site for semifinal rounds and the final meetings. This modification is aimed at enhancing competitive play and engagement among teams throughout the state.
The 2026 Iowa boys high school tennis season promises to be filled with excitement and competitive spirit, as teams vie for top honors and championship titles.
