Kraft Hockeyville Names Taber and Tumbler Ridge as Top Finalists

Kraft Heinz, in collaboration with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the NHL Players’ Association (NHLPA), has unveiled the top two finalists for Kraft Hockeyville 2026. The finalists are the Taber Community Centre in Taber, Alberta, and the Tumbler Ridge Community Centre Arena in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia.

Kraft Hockeyville Voting Details

Voting is open for Canadians to support their preferred community. The voting period runs from April 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. ET to April 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET. The winner will be revealed live on April 4 during the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast.

Awards for Kraft Hockeyville 2026

  • The winning community will receive $250,000 for rink upgrades.
  • The opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game will also be provided.
  • The runner-up will be awarded $100,000 for rink improvements.
  • Each finalist, along with other provincial and territorial winners, will gain $10,000 in hockey equipment through the NHLPA Goals and Dreams initiative and the NHL/NHLPA Industry Growth Fund.

A Celebration of Community

Kraft Hockeyville has recognized the importance of local arenas for two decades, distributing over $5.4 million to 105 communities since its inception in 2006. This year marks a special milestone as it coincides with the program’s 20th anniversary.

Kelly Fleming, Chief Marketing Officer at Kraft Heinz Canada, expressed pride in the finalists. “Canadians shared inspiring stories about how their local rinks foster connection, strength, and community,” she noted. “The spirit of these communities is truly reflected in Taber and Tumbler Ridge, where the arena is at the heart of it all.”
