In this instance, however, Kent claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his advisors hurried Trump into action without thorough consideration of the repercussions.
“Whatever argument they used, the effect was that President Trump was then led to believe that if he took action now, this whole thing would be quick and easy,” Kent remarked.

In response to Kent’s assertions, White House spokesman Davis Ingle defended Trump’s actions. He labeled Kent’s resignation letter as “riddled with lies,” particularly disputing the notion that Iran, identified as a leading state sponsor of terrorism, did not pose a threat to the U.S. Ingle asserted that Israel did not coerce Trump into launching what he referred to as Operation Epic Fury.
