Police Investigate Suspected Abbotsford Home Shooting

The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) is actively investigating a suspected home shooting that occurred near Ravine Park. This incident took place on Monday evening, specifically around 8 p.m., at a residence located on Cannon Avenue, close to Bevan Avenue.

Police Response and Barricade Situation

Upon arriving at the scene, officers encountered resistance from the home’s occupants, who refused to allow police entry. During attempts to evacuate the premises, several individuals became uncooperative and barricaded themselves within the house. This prompted the deployment of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) due to the situation’s severity and indications that firearms were present.

Resolution of the Incident
