Goals and Achievements
Last year’s campaign was a success, yielding 68 bags of litter and 13 bags of recyclables. Mandy Owen, a councillor and executive member for the environment at Torfaen County Borough Council, expressed her hopes to surpass this achievement.
She stated, “Let’s see if we can beat it this year.” This sentiment captures the essence of the campaign, which emphasizes community involvement and environmental responsibility.
Volunteer Participation
Volunteers will receive litter picking equipment from the council and partners. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own gloves, wear sturdy footwear, and dress appropriately for the weather.
Events will run daily from 10 AM to 2 PM, providing ample opportunity for community members to contribute.
