UGDSB Students Compete with Top DECA Members in Business and Marketing

Students from the Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) are making headlines as they prepare for the prestigious DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) this spring. This annual event will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

UGDSB Students Excel at DECA Provincials

Recently, UGDSB students participated in the DECA Provincials, where they competed against over 6,000 of Ontario’s finest business students. Their notable performance has led to several qualifications for the upcoming international competition.

Key Qualifiers from Guelph CVI and Centennial CVI

  • Ten students from Guelph CVI qualified for the ICDC, the highest number in the school’s history.
  • Moreover, six students from Centennial CVI also secured spots at the event.

Dawn Nicholson, the DECA advisor at Guelph CVI, expressed pride in her students’ accomplishments. “This achievement reflects the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students,” she stated.
