Brighton Winger Osman Secures Loan Move to Birmingham City

Birmingham City has officially secured the loan signing of winger Ibrahim Osman from Brighton and Hove Albion. The 21-year-old Ghanaian will remain with the Championship club until the end of the current season.

Osman’s Career Progression

Prior to joining Birmingham City, Osman was on loan at French club Auxerre. During his time in Ligue 1, he made 14 appearances. His remarkable journey began in Ghana before he moved to Nordsjaelland in Denmark in 2023.

Osman enjoyed a standout season in Denmark, netting 10 goals and providing nine assists in 44 matches. His impressive performances caught the attention of Premier League scouts, leading to a £16 million transfer to Brighton in the summer of 2024.

Loan Spells and International Experience

After his move to Brighton, Osman was loaned to Feyenoord for the 2024-25 season. While in the Netherlands, he contributed six goals and assists over 22 Eredivisie games and featured in seven Champions League matches.

Birmingham City’s Recent Signings

Osman is the latest addition to Birmingham City’s roster, marking their third acquisition in the January transfer window. The club previously welcomed Kai Wagner and Jhon Solis.

Currently, Birmingham City sits 14th in the Championship standings with a total of 35 points. The club will be looking to enhance its performance with the inclusion of Osman in the squad.
