Lions Consider OC Candidate with Experience Coaching Jackson, St. Brown

The Detroit Lions are considering Tee Martin for their offensive coordinator position. Martin is currently the quarterbacks coach for the Baltimore Ravens and will have an interview next week, according to Jordan Schultz. Before this, he was also a candidate for the Washington Commanders’ offensive coordinator role.
Tee Martin’s Coaching Background
Martin has had a significant impact during his three years with the Ravens, where he worked under head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Todd Monken. During this time, he closely collaborated with star quarterback Lamar Jackson, who earned the MVP award in 2023.
- Position: Quarterbacks Coach, Baltimore Ravens
- Years Employed: 3
- Pass Game Coordinator and WR Coach at USC: 3 years
Previous Roles
Before stepping into his current role, Martin spent two seasons as the Ravens’ wide receivers coach. His coaching career includes a seven-year tenure at the University of Southern California (USC) from 2012 to 2018. During that period, he worked under various head coaches, including Lane Kiffin and Clay Helton.

Martin’s experience as a player in the NFL adds a unique perspective to his coaching. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round of the 2000 draft. His career also included time with the Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders, along with a stint in the Canadian Football League with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Other Offensive Coordinator Candidates
Tee Martin is now among several candidates being considered for the Lions’ offensive coordinator role. He joins a competitive field as the fourth known candidate for the position.
