Hockey legends Connor McDavid and Marie-Philip Poulin are contributing to the Great Canadian Jersey campaign, aimed at celebrating national pride in the sport. McDavid, captain of the Edmonton Oilers, and Poulin, captain of the PWHL’s Montreal Victoire, are both donating jerseys from their personal collections for this initiative.

This campaign is part of Rogers’ “This Is Our Game” initiative. Donated jerseys will be transformed into patchwork designs, highlighting the spirit of Canadian hockey. Fashion designer Cameron Lizotte, a former OHL player, is overseeing the jersey designs. Once completed, these jerseys will be worn by prominent Canadian hockey players.

Canadians can donate jerseys at participating Rogers stores until January 15. For those unable to visit in person, online details are available for mail-in submissions. Donors will have the chance to win the Ultimate VIP Hockey Road Trip, offering a game experience with a Canadian NHL team.

The final patchwork jerseys are set to be revealed later this month. McDavid expressed eagerness to see the outcomes of the designs, while both athletes are proud to contribute to a project that connects the community.
Poulin’s Ongoing Achievements
Currently, Poulin is tied for the lead in scoring in the PWHL, having recently scored two goals, including an overtime winner. Meanwhile, McDavid ranks second in NHL scoring this season, contributing to his team’s strong performance.
