Finland Unveils First F-35A Jet in Collaboration with Lockheed Martin

Finland recently marked a significant milestone in its defense capabilities with the unveiling of its first F-35A Lightning II jet. The ceremony took place at Lockheed Martin’s production facility in Fort Worth, Texas, on December 16, 2025. This event represents a pivotal moment for the Finnish Air Force and underscores Finland’s commitment to modernizing its military assets.

Major General Timo Herranen, the Commander of the Finnish Air Force, noted that the F-35A promises unparalleled survivability, lethality, and cooperation capabilities. He expressed anticipation for the aircraft to enter operational service in 2026.

Future Deliveries and Training
