Hanoi Boosts Capital Tourism with Thanh Liet Destination

The recent conference held on December 9 at Thanh Liet ward showcased the potential for tourism development in the area. Over 200 attendees participated in the survey program and discussions aimed at enhancing service quality and connecting businesses with local tourist destinations. The event was organized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism in collaboration with Thanh Liet ward.

Exploring Cultural Heritage in Thanh Liet

The field trip began at Đình Nội, where attendees explored several notable sites including Long Quang Pagoda, Quang Ân Pagoda, and Đình Ngoại. They also visited the Triều Khúc relic complex, experiencing the local Drum Dance performance. These activities highlighted the unique cultural atmosphere Thanh Liet aims to promote as a tourist destination.

Insights from Local Officials

Trần Trung Hiếu, the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, emphasized the importance of connecting travel companies with local destinations. He noted that Thanh Liet boasts a rich array of cultural heritage sites, including historical temples and pagodas recognized nationally. The nestled traditional arts and festivals, such as the Drum Dance Festival, enhance the area’s appeal for cultural tourism.

Future Development Plans

  • Three primary tourism product groups are planned: cultural tourism, spiritual tourism, and rural tourism featuring local cuisine.
  • A visitor center and memorial site dedicated to Confucian scholar Chu Văn An will commence construction with an investment exceeding 42 billion VND.
  • A proposed 100-hectare park is set to enhance the cultural and ecological landscape for visitors.

Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Vice Chairman of Thanh Liet Ward, shared plans to improve infrastructure, including better signage, enhanced lighting, and public facilities to support visitors. He stressed the need for collaboration with travel agencies to develop suitable products and promote Thanh Liet as a vibrant tourism spot within the city.

Creating Interactive Experiences

During discussions, industry representatives acknowledged Thanh Liet’s potential for cultural tourism and craftsmanship. Suggestions included enhancing interactive experiences and providing better support services. These insights aligned with the Hanoi Department of Tourism’s recognition of the need for improved infrastructure and promotional efforts.

Conclusion and Vision for 2025-2030

Concluding the conference, Trần Trung Hiếu reiterated that Thanh Liet is positioned to be a vibrant cultural and festival hub. The Department aims to elevate service quality here, integrating technology and promoting local heritage. The goal is to establish Thanh Liet as a key cultural destination in Hanoi by 2030.

With cooperative efforts across sectors, Thanh Liet is set to shine on Hanoi’s tourism map, contributing richly to the capital’s diverse offerings.
