OpenAI Clarifies: Shopping Suggestions Aren’t Advertisements

He clarified that there are currently “no live tests for ads,” arguing that the screenshots some users have shared may either be inaccurate or misinterpreted. Chief researcher Mark Chen acknowledged that the Target prompt might resemble an advertisement. He noted the importance of managing these displays judiciously.
