Top-Ranked UConn Welcomes DePaul for Sunday’s Showdown

The top-ranked UConn women’s basketball team is set to host DePaul on Sunday at Gampel Pavilion. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast on FS1 as well as the UConn Sports Network via Learfield.

UConn Honors Sue Bird

Before the game, UConn will pay tribute to legendary player Sue Bird by retiring her number 10 jersey. This ceremony is expected to start approximately 30 minutes before the game. Bird was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in October, which made this retirement possible.

In that game, sophomore Sarah Strong led the team with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Huskies have consistently shown strong teamwork, achieving over 20 assists for the seventh consecutive game, and scoring 41 points from their bench during the match against South Florida.
