Renowned celebrity chef Rick Stein has launched his latest dining experience, Rick Stein at Coogee Beach. The new restaurant, located within the InterContinental hotel, opened its doors on December 1. It boasts stunning views of the shoreline and a menu inspired by Stein’s culinary journeys.

Stein collaborates with local suppliers, particularly Frank Theodore from Get Fish at the Sydney Fish Markets. This partnership ensures that all seafood is freshly sourced and of the highest quality.

Restaurant Ambiance and Design

The inviting interior, designed in collaboration with Studioaria and Kate Greenwood of Salter Brothers Hospitality, features coastal artwork and a serene atmosphere reminiscent of the Mediterranean. Key design elements include:

  • Glass bi-fold doors that open to enhance ocean views.
  • Comfortable seating options near an ice bar for a relaxed dining experience.
  • Decorative tiles and textures fostering a light, coastal vibe.

Operational Details

The restaurant accommodates 220 guests and offers flexible dining hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6 PM until late
  • Friday to Sunday: 12 PM until late

Head Chef Colin Chun leads the kitchen, drawing from his extensive experience in prominent hotels.
