Ryan Dunn Likely to Play Against Lakers as Suns’ Injuries Ease

Ryan Dunn is likely to play against the Los Angeles Lakers as the Suns’ injury situation improves. After missing the last five games due to a right wrist sprain, Dunn will return just in time for Monday’s matchup. In his second season, he has averaged 8.4 points and 4.9 rebounds across 16 games, with 11 of those being starts.

Suns’ Injury Updates

Alongside Dunn’s return, three additional players have been cleared from the injury report:

  • Jordan Goodwin (ankle sprain)
  • Mark Williams (calf soreness)

Both Goodwin and Williams are available for the game against the Lakers following their previously reported injuries. However, Grayson Allen, who had been marked as questionable due to a quad contusion, will not play due to an illness that arose shortly before the game.

Player Performance

In his last game, Allen contributed 10 points and three assists in 26 minutes, showcasing his ability after more than two weeks off. Meanwhile, Goodwin also saw action against the Denver Nuggets, recording eight points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 15 minutes. He has participated in all 15 games this November, earning two starts.

Mark Williams’ Status

Mark Williams has yet to participate in a back-to-back game this season. Notably, his absence against the Nuggets was the first time he did not sit out due to “right knee injury management.” The Suns have struggled in his absence, holding a record of 1-3 without him, compared to 11-6 with him on the floor. Williams has been effective this season, averaging 12.9 points on an impressive 64.4% shooting and 9.2 rebounds in 17 games.

Lakers’ Injury Concerns

The Los Angeles Lakers face their own injury challenges. LeBron James, who was sidelined for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, is set to return for the contest against the Suns. In contrast, Marcus Smart has been ruled out for a third consecutive game due to lower back management.
