Police Investigate Stolen Parcels from Kingsway Doorsteps

Residents in the Kingsway area of Gloucester are on high alert following recent incidents of parcel thefts from doorsteps. The community has experienced multiple reports of couriers allegedly taking parcels without proper delivery.
Details of the Incidents
According to Gloucestershire Constabulary, three reports have been received regarding couriers involved in the thefts. The incidents reportedly involved drivers either misrepresenting themselves as delivery personnel or taking parcels already left at doorsteps.
Response from the Community
Local resident Ms. Bryan expressed her concerns over the situation. She plans to take extra precautions by placing a notice on her door. This notice will instruct delivery personnel to ring the doorbell and, if unanswered, leave packages with a neighbor. Ms. Bryan emphasized, “I can’t afford to lose any more parcels.”
Courier Company Statement
A spokesperson from Evri addressed the issue, stating their strong disapproval of such behavior. They emphasized a zero-tolerance policy regarding these incidents and significantly apologize to affected individuals. It was confirmed that the driver involved is a third-party courier, who will no longer deliver for Evri.
Investigation Status
The police investigation is ongoing. It has been reported that the delivery driver has revisited the victims to either return the stolen packages or offer compensation. Authorities are urging any more witnesses or victims to come forward to assist in their inquiries.
