Florida Girl Gabrielle Terrelonge Still Missing; Mother Arrested

Gabrielle Terrelonge, a 10-year-old girl from Florida, has been missing since late June. Her father, Gordon Terrelonge, has not seen or heard from her for over six months.

Timeline of Events

Gordon last saw Gabrielle in Kissimmee in April 2023, after a disagreement with her mother, Passha Davis. In late October, Gordon discovered that Davis had been arrested in Margate, prompting him to reach out to local authorities about Gabrielle’s whereabouts.

Mother’s Arrest and Investigation

Davis, arrested on October 17 for suspected shoplifting, was found to be without Gabrielle during her arrest. Police in Margate initiated an investigation after Gordon’s inquiry revealed that Gabrielle was missing. According to police, Gabrielle was last spotted with Davis on June 30. They traveled from Broward County to Orlando via Greyhound bus.

A witness confirmed their arrival at the Florida Mall, supported by bus manifest evidence.

Mother’s Legal Troubles

  • October 17: Passha Davis arrests for shoplifting and resisting police.
  • October 31: Davis posted bail but was re-arrested on November 4.
  • November 5: Charged with child neglect regarding Gabrielle.
  • Bond set at $100,000, with a mental competency evaluation ordered by the court.

Davis claims she does not know Gabrielle’s location and that she should be with her father. However, police stress that the child was last seen in April when Davis allegedly left Kissimmee with her.

Family’s Plea for Help

The situation has devastated Gabrielle’s family, particularly her grandmother, Jonett Vassel. She has expressed profound grief while distributing flyers in Orlando featuring Gabrielle’s picture. Vassel described the experience as heart-wrenching, stating, “I cannot sleep, I cannot eat.” She remains hopeful for her granddaughter’s safe return.

Gabrielle’s Background

Gabrielle was previously enrolled in school in Port St. Lucie while living with her mother and a paternal aunt. The family experienced significant instability, with Davis facing challenges related to homelessness and mental health. Throughout the last year, they moved frequently, often staying with relatives or in hotels.

Authorities have reached out to the community for assistance in locating Gabrielle. Gordon Terrelonge emphasized the urgency, stating, “If anyone knows anything, please come forward and let us know.”

As the search for Gabrielle continues, both law enforcement and family members remain committed to finding her and understanding the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
